What do guests really think?
- Many said that the hotel is extremely convenient and offers clean, spacious accommodation, while others said that the high prices charged do not offer value for money.
- Several guests said that the bar and restaurants offered poor value for money as the prices were very high and the quality was average.
- Many reviewers liked the convenience of the free 24h airport shuttle.
My Recommendation
As with most airport hotels it is difficult to quantify value for money, as by nature they have a captive audience who is willing to pay more for the convenience and location. However, if you are looking for a hotel very close to the airport then the Hilton Edinburgh Airport hotel could be a very good choice for the sheer convenience, as long as you are pre-warned that extras such as food and drink do not come cheap.

What is the Hilton Airport Hotel like?
The Hilton Edinburgh Airport Hotel is a typical airport hotel offering convenience and easy access to the airport, with the added bonus of excellent leisure facilities. It also offers conference rooms and seems particularly well suited to business travellers.
While there were several comments from guests that the rooms are in need of updating, there was a post on one of the review sites from management which indicated that the hotel is undergoing a refurbishment plan in the guest rooms as well as a new concept for the bar and restaurants.

Food and drink
- There are two eating options, the Café de Havilland and the Lounge Bar, plus a coffee shop.
- Many guests said that the food and drinks were extremely expensive and some recommended returning to the airport to eat.
- Others said that the quality of the food did not reflect the high prices.
- Most of those who had breakfast at the hotel said that it was good quality with a wide selection, but a large percentage of reviewers said that it was too expensive and recommended eating in the airport instead.
