The Holyrood Hotel

Weddings at the Holyrood Hotel

The Holyrood Hotel in Edinburgh can be used as a wedding venue. Its biggest attraction is the historic backdrop for wedding pictures. Photographs can be taken on the grounds of Holyrood Palace or by Dunsapie Loch, on Arthur's seat, with Edinburgh as a backdrop.

As with most wedding venues in Edinburgh, the Holyrood Hotel has a wedding coordinator who can help with every detail. Recent laws have changed in Scotland meaning that the Holyrood Hotel can host both civil and religious wedding ceremonies in its two function suites -- The Holyrood Suite and the Salisbury Suite.

Besides planning the wedding ceremony to the last detail, The Holyrood Hotel also tends to the bride and groom in their days and hours before the event. Leisure and beauty facilities are available to them and if the bride and bridesmaid decide to spend the night before the wedding at the hotel, they might just be lucky enough to be served by the butler who can quote some romantic Shakespeare from memory!
