Trains to Glasgow

If Edinburgh is the historic capital of Scotland, then Glasgow is the modern and cosmopolitan capital of Scotland. Glasgow is renowned for its culture and fantastic nightlife and getting there by train is very easy indeed.

There are express trains running between Edinburgh and Glasgow at least every 15 minutes. The train journey takes about 45 minutes and takes you to Glasgow Queen Street. The train station is very centrally located, right next to George Square.

The shuttle express rail service to Glasgow is particularly handy when you want to attend day events such as the World Pipe Band Championships or other shows and concerts.

The last train from Glasgow to Edinburgh departs at 11:30pm so you can always come back to your accommodation in Edinburgh after sampling the pubs, clubs and nightlife of Glasgow.

Origin of 'Edinburgh'
